Rebecca nodded reluctantly. She thought, I may as well get it over with. It's probably about the new dress I wore last Sunday, or the different way I put up my hair. But I know my dress is no more form-fitting that Grace's and Arlene's dresses, she quickly justified herself. And a number of the other girls have been puffing their hair for a while already. Just because I changed mine from the way I've always fixed it, doesn't make it any more wrong for me than for them. I wish the ministers would get their minds on spiritual things for once instead of on the way we look.
Will Rebecca's choice in response to the deacon's visit make any difference in her life or in her eternal destiny?
