Preschool GHI Series

Welcome to Rod & Staff's new Preschool G-H-I Series that is being developed. This series will extend their present Preschool ABC Series. When completed, it will provide six more books to help build a good scholastic foundation for the preschool child. This new series uses a specific geographical region as a theme for each book, giving the added advantage of teaching geographical awareness by association, along with an awareness of God as the Creator.

Building a good foundation for our children's education is important. But still more important is building a solid foundation for their spiritual welfare. These books are designed to help in preparing the child for a good education from a Scriptural perspective. However, it is still the parents' responsibility to guide the child in the way of truth.

10031 Going On Eagerly has exercises that include using eight colors, working with four basic shapes, writing and counting with numbers 0 through 10, identifying sequence, and drawing missing parts and simple pictures. The exercises are designed for the child to do with adult guidance. This provides an excellent opportunity for parent-child interaction.

The polar theme of Going On Eagerly will help acquaint the child with the animals and habitat of the polar regions. Along with learning basic skills, the child can learn to associate cold and snow with animals that God has made to dwell in Arctic regions. He can also learn about people who live there.

10032 Hearing and Helping has a rainforest theme and includes practice in hearing initial sounds and rhyming words, understanding words in sentence context, and finding ways that families and children help others.

10033 Inside and Outside has a woodlands theme and includes practice in counting and writing numbers 0 through 12 by 1's and 2's, and by 10's to 100. The color pink, the diamond shape, and the thermometer are introduced. Exercises include observing the changing seasons and weather, inside and outside buildings, and more.

So far, only the first three books of the series are available for purchase. The other three are still in various stages of preparation.
