The world may know more about us than we realize, as we can see by the lives of the young men in this book. This book is a real challenge to our youth, the parents, and the ones whom the Lord has appointed to shepherd His flock.
There are times in our lives when experiences make such an impression on us that we can almost “taste” them. We have older brethren among us that well remember what it felt like to receive an official notice from Selective Service, the cold harshness of an Army physical, and the disruption of leaving home for two years of Alternative Service.
Now laws and polices have changed. This leads us to believe that our young brothers may face much closer scrutiny if they are drafted. In this story the author looks forward and paints a picture of future scenes that may become very real someday.
